Is there a way to suppress the dots showing the number
of slides and current position in them? Apart from struggling
with height and width – which earlier queries seem to offer
answers for – I have otherwise got the slider going on a home
page OK (many thanks for such a simple slider showing captions!)

But the dots then sit over the text lower down the page, and I need
    to get rid of them..

(Not a query for this plugin but more general: why do the other
sliders I’ve tried also show these silly dots which I do not want?)

    Hi @mahmacc

Thanks for reaching out to us.

Yes, I can understand your concern but every slider has their own JS and dots are like pagination so user can navigate to other slides easily.

Anyway you can turn off dots by simple shortcode parameters like pagination=”false” so it will not display slider dots.

Please add this parameter to shortcode and check. I hope it will resolve your problem.

    Thanks and Regards,

No joy so far. Does your cure apply only to a premium version?
I am using the version of sp_imageslider available at
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/sp-header-image-slider/
    and my present shortcode says

    [sp_imageslider captions=”true” autoplay=”true” auto_controls=”false” effect=”fade” pagination=”false”]

I appreciate the point about accessing URLs, which would
be helpful if I were using images outside the website itself.
The site itself is for a local choir which is a charity.
