Storefront Theme slowing down backend

    Hi I wonder if anyone would be able to tell me why wordpress slows completely down after installing this theme along with the relevant plugins. Just trying to customise the theme is taking ages, loading a product/image which have been reduced to kb’s does not fix this? I used to have an online shop elsewhere, but decided to rather have my own shop which offered more flexibility. I am worried I wont be able to use this as I want.
    Please can you advise.

    Hi Bridget,

    I run lots of sites and shops on Storefront, and this theme does not cause wordpress to run slow, if any faster! There must be something else causing this.

    Please provide the url to where this is happening.
    Too many plugins, poorly coded plugins, outdated plugins, custom code, bad hosting, outdated php version etc can cause a site to load slow so please provide more info so we can try and help you.

    Pages are loading ok at my end. Are you only experiencing this in the backend?
    When I inspect your source code, you are ( no longer? ) using storefront but the genesis theme?
