Getting PHP code to display in comments section

I use the SyntaxHighlighter plugin for my posts, but often my commenters will post code too. Even though they wrap it with the code tag, the code itself does not show up. I assume this is a WP security measure so people don’t try to execute malevolent code.

Is there a WP plugin that will display PHP verbatim in the comments section?`
