There is not action button showing to be able to back up my updated site. I also can’t delete an old back up as it also does not show.

    No Button 1

    No button 2

I kind of found it. It’s a white on white button in the bottom right corner (you can almost see in the pics – looks like a scroll bar). Obviously laid out incorrectly for some reason.

But now I got it to start. it’s been like this for over an hour which is unusual. I was going to disable the plugin and reinstall but didn’t want to disrupt anything and my website is awfully slow.

    Hi,

Could you tell me what UpdraftPlus version you are running?

Also what Web Browser and version your using? and if possible could you try in another browser to see if the layout is still like the above images.

As for your backup it could take a long time if you have a large site could you please send us a copy of the latest backup log?

This can be found in the UpdraftPlus Existing Backups tab.

The contents will be too long to post here directly, but you can use an online service such as Pastebin, and post the link here.

    Best Wishes,

    Ashley

I’m using Chrome Version 58.0.3029.110 (64-bit). It says it’s up to date. I’m also using the latest version of Updraft and WordPress.

I just viewed it on Microsoft Edge Windows 10 and it’s laid out the same way as my original picture.

It’s not a large site and used to back up fine quite quickly. I haven’t changed too much since then outside of a few blog posts. I finally got the back up to stop as it was frozen and kept trying to resume but once it tried it delayed restarting by more time.

I have tried to download the log file. The log file just shows “aborted” as I aborted it as it was frozen and slowing down the site. I had to try to abort it a fair few times before it did that.

Is there a log where I could download the steps before aborting? The only log file it gives me is the last success a few months ago.

Missing buttons usually indicate that some other plugin or theme is loading CSS code onto UD’s page, which is causing it. Does the same effect happen if you temporarily deactivate all other plugins and switch to a default theme, and then re-load the UD page in your browser?

Seems to be stuck here with progress.

The button layout culprit is this….

    Easy timetable is the culprit

Although the sloweness pause/resume schedule of UD is still there with this turned off.

    Hi,

Please can you provide a link to your log file for the problematic backup? (You can download it from the “Existing Backups” tab of your UpdraftPlus settings page).

It’ll be too long to paste into the forum here, but you can download it to your computer, and share it with Dropbox, or paste it in pastebin.com, or any similar service, and post the link here.

    Best wishes,
    David

    Hi,

Apologies, is that the full contents of the log file? It only appears to be a partial log.

If it is, please could you check the ‘wp-content/updraft’ directory of your site (via FTP or your hosting file manager) for any other log files created around the same time?

Here is the last success, under existing backups
    Last successful copy

The log file I post was only part as I aborted it and that was what was there before I did that.

One of the aborted attempts. I didn’t let it go all the way through as it slowed down my website for hours. Here https://pastebin.com/t8A7fvHQ

I have tried another back up with gets stuck below. I have added a new pic. perhaps this is what’s causing my issue? What are the steps to resolve?

    “Wed, June 14, 2017 09:33 – next resumption: 5 (after 8s) – show log – stop
Warning: The amount of memory (RAM) allowed for PHP is very low (64 Mb) – you should increase it to avoid failures due to insufficient memory (consult your web hosting company for more help)

Yes, that could well be it… with that amount, it’s likely that WordPress is running fairly near the limit most of the time… and then the memory needed to stuff things into the compressed backup may tip it over. I’d ask your hosting company about the limit, as it’s very unusual so see something so low these days (typical is 256MB – seen on ~90% of sites IIRC).

Got the memory updated without result. Here is the log file that I stopped at 90 mins of no progress.

    Hi,

The latest backup log is showing progress, albeit slow progress.

Please could you reduce the ‘split archives every’ option (found in the ‘expert settings’ section of the UpdraftPlus settings tab) to 100MB, and attempt another backup?
This will split the backup into smaller, more manageable files, which should improve performance.
