    Hi,

I’m trying to work out how to fix the following error on my partner’s site (http://johnadouglas.com.au). I am not sure if it manually updated to 4.7.5, but several other of our sites have, so I assume it did.

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class WP_HTTP_Fsockopen in /home/joh19819/public_html/wp-includes/class-wp-http-streams.php on line 428

Reading the sticky post at the top of the page and some of the post in the forum, it seems like I should try manually copying the wp-admin and wp-includes to the server.

    My question is twofold:

    1. I don’t have access to the backend (same error appears) and the manual update instructions say to turn off the plug in.
    2. Is there anything else I should do?

    Thanks

Yes, you can update those files by accessing your hosting space directly, either by using some FTP program or cPanel (or equivalent). Mind you, login credentials for those are different from your website backend login credentials.

Glad it worked. 🙂 Could you mark the thread as “resolved”?
