Oh, and i have one more question aside from the above, so if you could answer both. It is related, so I didn’t want to create a second topic, but I would love to have them answered separately.
Question 2: Can a link be used to load a table with a search term entered, thus only needing to use one master list/table but have a link load the table so that only ‘steak’ is typed in and this way I wouldn’t need secondary tables to load data from the master table. Even if in the embed code for that table, can code inside the embed table code make that table search by ‘steak’ upon loading? Thanks.

Hi,
thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.
This sounds like a good use case for the TablePress Extension from https://tablepress.org/extensions/row-filter/
You would basically filter your master table for the desired individual category and get the desired smaller table.
For that link, you could basically employ the idea from https://wordpress.org/support/topic/search-from-another-page/ (which uses another Extension to extend the filtering via a URL parameter).

Tobias
Amazing! Worked! Thanks so much. I have donated before, a few years ago, but I plan to again here shortly. You are awesome, best support ever, too!
Hi,
no problem, you are very welcome! 🙂 Good to hear that this helped!
Best wishes,
Tobias
P.S.: In case you haven’t, please rate TablePress here in the plugin directory. Thanks!
