    Hi
Recently I find I am often getting notices ;javascript:void(0) in my slim stat reports. I can’t see any pattern (i.e. it is not always or only on one post or type of post). When I go to the relevant post I don’t see any obvious (to me) errors or issues. Usually it is one notice, but sometimes 2, 3 or even 4.
Is this important? Can you help me fix it?
    Thanks!

    Hi @lunatrix21,

would you be able to show us a screenshot of where you’re getting these notices?

    Thank you,
    Jason

Sure – this is an extreme example with 4 errors. Many have 1 or 2.

Hope this enables you to help!

    Hi,

it looks like another plugin (lightbox?) is adding that code to your links. Slimstat interprets them as “outbound” links and tracks that information in the database. Could you post a link to the page where this occurs on your website? You might be able to add an exception to the tracker, where you add “javascript:void(0)” to the blacklist by URL.

    Thank you,
    Jason

Quick update: the developer tells me that he’s going to add a fix to solve this issue. Stay tuned!

    Thanks. I don’t use lightbox.
I don’t know what plugin it can be (I use a lot so it would take a while to test them all; if you can suggest something to narrow down the search I am happy to try).
The odd thing though is the extra javascript notifications are not consistent per page – sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn’t).
As long as it is not creating a problem with my tracking, or indicating a problem with my site, it doesn’t really bother me too much.
    Thanks

    Hi Luna,

version 4.6.7 includes a fix for this issue. You should not see any of those links tracked as “outbound” clicks anymore.

    Best,
    Jason
