Setting Up WordPress for Booking Agency
-
I am using WordPress to create a frontend and backend for a Booking Agency. The frontend will be a simple website, just utilizing Pages for a handful of static pages.
The backend should be more community-driven for the agents. There should be a messaging system between the agents, a database for contacts that all agents can access. Ideally, there could be multiple databases, so that agents can keep track of different types of contacts (in this case, a database of venues and a database of promotional contacts). Finally, I would like each agent to have their own profile page only viewable by other agents, not the public.
Which plugins should be used to most clearly and efficiently reach this goal? Would BuddyPress be a good way to have agents access databases and message each other? Or are there other plugins that are better suited for this need?
Right now, I’m looking at Participants Database plugin, but it seems somewhat limiting for this purpose. It’s difficult for agents to browse the database by state or city.
