Great. I don’t know how I can help but here are the list of active plugins that are being used:
Jetpack
Akismet
Easy Google Fonts
Easy Twitter Feed Widget
My Private Site
Official StatCounter Plugin
Simple Custom Post Order
Updraft Plus
WP-DraftsForFriends
(Btw. notifications not being sent was also the case for Edit Flow…)
Hi KJ,
Just to clarify notifications are working on everything else but not for comments and status changes is that correct?
Thanks

All notifications that I’ve used so far (password change, creation of new users) worked nicely, sending notifications to both admin and user. Not sure if there are other notifications that I could check with. PublishPress notifications for status changes and comments do not work (are there any other in PublishPress?).
Thanks for looking into this!
Hi KJ,
Thanks for confirming that.
We made some tests and we weren’t able to reproduce it yet.
Please, could you double check if you are using different users to add comments and change the status for the content? You won’t receive notifications if you made the changes by yourself. But you should receive notifications if another user commented or changed the status in a content you follow.
Thanks

Oh, yes, that is the simple solution: I only added myself as Notification recipient for testing. And then didn’t receive this notification. A different user actually does get them, just tested that. Thank you – all is fine! So I’d only ask you to add this to the documentation.
Or, alternatively, maybe add the feature to send a slightly different email to the user making the status change or comment containing the list of users that received the notification. This is good to get an extra confirmation that e.g. the editor was put into the loop. I’d really use this as a feature!
Just as a suggestion.
Hi KJ,
Cool, we are glad it worked.
Sure thing, we will add that to the documentation.
Good idea. Thanks for the suggestions. Adding to the backlog.
Thank you
