@seathane1, Have you contacted ‘afrihost’ about this? It looks like an issue with their service. Also please don’t give away your login details to us.
Hi Andrew yes, I did they suggested it could be a plugin issue.
But tell me Andrew are you a member of the WordPress support team or are you just assisting. If not is there a dedicated support team that I can post my issues to?
Thanks
Peter

There is no support team at WordPress.org, the support here is provided just as the software is – by volunteers of the open source community.
In your hosting provider’s control panel, try deactivating the plugins of your ‘afrihost’ website by renaming the “plugins” folder (found in ‘wp-content’ folder) to “plugins-old”. This should deactivate your plugins. Then rename that “plugins-old” folder back to “plugins”. Can you at least log in?
After I renamed the folder I now can log in into the Admin View.
Does this suggest the is an issue with a plugin?

Yes, you can try reactivating them one by one until the issue occurs again. Then you’ll know the plugin responsible. Which plugin is it?
You see my worry is that this is not a live site yet. I still have a live site on another server would you advice me to make this test site a live site and disable the plugins and maybe see how the site displays?
