This is a great plugin but I won’t be using the shopping online functionality in the beginning. I am using the category images and functionality on the home page but would like them to point to a different page initially instead of the product listing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I resolved this by using a simple redirect plugin which can be found at the following address. https://en-au.wordpress.org/plugins/safe-redirect-manager/

Hello @clintjames,
Actually we recommend to override templates of Restaurant Menu plugin to modify page of categories, menu items, etc. It is more flexible when you add new category for example. Then you do not need to generate shortcode to add it.
But this is also possible solution to redirect from default category page to custom one.
