I recently installed UpdraftPlus Backups which seems to be a popular backup plugin. When I ran it, it looked as though the plugin was successfully creating a new backup of my site, but it failed…no backup could be created. The log reports the following:

Table wp_slim_stats has very many rows (258540) – we hope your web hosting company gives you enough resources to dump out that table in the backup If not, you will need to either remove data from this table, or contact your hosting company to request more resources. (Apr 13 20:59:09)

Tail end of the log before it ends…

3980.961 (15) Table wp_slim_outbound: corresponding file already exists; moving on
3980.963 (15) Table wp_slim_screenres: corresponding file already exists; moving on
    3981.049 (15) Table wp_slim_stats: Total expected rows (approximate): 258540
3981.055 (15) [Warning] Table wp_slim_stats has very many rows (258540) – we hope your web hosting company gives you enough resources to dump out that table in the backup If not, you will need to either remove data from this table, or contact your hosting company to request more resources.

How can I fix this issue?

    Hi,

you may want to contact the other plugin’s developer and see if he can recommend a workaround to skip Slimstat’s tables, as it looks like that plugin is not able to add them to your backup. Or you may want to look at other backup solutions that allow you to include large tables like Slimstat’s.

    Best,
    Jason
