Hi, I’m using SlimStat on one of Intranet pages & wondered if there would be any security issue with that, for example, using outside sources for tracking.

I have Enable CDN on. Would turning that off have any effect on the plugins functionality?

    Regards
    Tony

    Hi,

There should be no security concern, because the browser would prevent any cross-site scripting injection (that is not originated by the tracker, which of course doesn’t contain any XSS, as far as we know). However this feature is mostly offered for performance reasons: by allowing users to reference the Javascript on a third-party server, it doesn’t affect the bandwidth usage on their own servers, plus two requests can be processed simultaneously, being served by two independent servers. If that’s not a concern for you, then feel free to deactivate the CDN option. No functionality will be affected in any way.

    Best,
    Jason
