Hi,
thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

Hello and thank you for the response. Unfortunately, our need is to link text to a file. For example
Local Land Development Map
When a customer clicks this they go to the .pdf file on the server. If this can’t be done, I’ll still make a donation as this is a very nice plugin we intend to use. We’ll just need to enter the linked text within the plugin itself.
My only concern is this plugin continues to work for many years to come. Which is why I will donate to help keep development going on what appears to be an excellent product.
Regards,
David
Hi David,
I totally understand. Due to the different link formats, this is not directly possible. You could however take a look at the approach from https://wordpress.org/support/topic/hyperlinks-in-cells/#post-4172109
It uses an Excel macro to automatically create the necessary HTML code. The alternative would be to use the “Insert Link” button directly in TablePress.
And please be assured that I don’t have any plans to abandon TablePress 🙂

Tobias
Hi Tobias-
Thank you for the response. Unfortunately, I downloaded the plugin extension but for some unknown reason to me, it won’t hold the HTML linked text. I tried saving the Excel table in various formats with no avail. However, I love the plugin and will donate $10.00 USD with hopes you continue to support this great product.
If the product ever has the ability to support the above, or import data directly to it etc., I’d gladly donate more.
Hi,
can you explain this in more detail? So your Excel file now contains HTML code for a link? And can you then save the table to a CSV file? Does the CSV file have the HTML code in it when you open it with a text editor?

Tobias
