    2 weeks ago I started getting spam in the comments section of my online store.
    It started with 20 a day within a week it was 1000+ spam pr day. Each comment had slight variations to the email address it was coming from.

    I took me over an hour just to delete all that crap, each day.

    I started using WP-SpamShield and it blocked all the spam.
    As far as i can tell the rest of my site is still functioning normally.
    No issues as of yet.
