Is this plugin Protects other plugins too?

    Hi,

    Can you please tell me? If i install this wordfence plugin is this will protect other plugins too? Example: I’m using contact form 7 plugin in my website i will not going to update the plugin anymore even they give security updates because i have some customized code in the contact form 7.So, is this wordfence will give a protection for that contact form 7 plugin too?

    Hello,

    I understand that you have a custom setup but it is not recommended to ignore security updates provided by plugin developers.

    If the Wordfence firewall has a rule that would protect against an exploit of any security vulnerabilities in your version of the plugin then Wordfence will protect you. But if the firewall doesn’t have such a rule then the firewall won’t protect you and you will have to pay close attention to Wordfence scans.

    Alternatively you could approach the developer of the plugin and ask them if there is a way you can add your custom functionality to your theme’s functions.php file so that you can also update to the latest version of the plugin.
