• Hi,
a few days ago I installed my first WordPress domain. Almost everything was ok. I created some pages, downloaded pictures, and wanted to add SEO plugin. Here the problem started. I couldn’t turn on the plugin and use it. There was “500 Internal Server Error”. My server helpdesk suggested changing settings in PHP. I changed it to 5.3 and turned on Magic Quotes function. The pluggin was fixed, but I couldn’t edit any pages. I reinstalled WordPress, cleaned cache, changed theme, turned off plugins. It’s still wrong. I cannot put anything in writing window.
I will be grateful for any help.

  • Start from uninstalling that plugin and putting your PHP back to version it had, and even better, if you have an option to PHP 7.0.

Plugin is uninstalled, php 5.6.30 is on (it’s the version I first started to worked with). But it’s still wrong unfortunatelly…

    Magic Quotes off?

    Yes, it’s off.
It’s better now, because personalization is working (earlier it was broken, too). But I still cannot edit any page.

Is there any error in your logs?

    Hi again.
Editing page is working, fortunatelly. I changed Chrome to Firefox. And it helped.
    Thank you for your support.

You’re welcome. Now you can continue working where you stopped, and if I may suggest SEO plugin, either Go for Yoast or All In one SEO. Whichever you like better.
