Restrict content redirect shortcode

I am trying to restrict content to my The Events Calendar events page by using the UM Restrict Content shortcode found here: http://docs.ultimatemember.com/article/177-restrict-content-on-a-page-post-to-logged-in-users

The problem is that the events page content shows underneath the UM message, “This content has been restricted to logged in users only. Please login to view the content”

Is there a way to redirect users with this shortcode? Or is there a better way?
