Go to Admin Dashboard >> Settings >> Readings.
In Front page displays Setting select A static page Option.
Select any page for the front page from the dropdown and save changes.

That worked, but now my About Me Page is no longer on my menu. I want to eliminate the home page from my menu. When I look at my menu, it’s not an option.
Hi,
Go to Dashboard Admin Panel >> Appearance >> Menus >> create a new menu.
Now create a “New Menu”.
And assign the pages which you want to show on header.
Now set “Display Location” as “Primary Menu”
Save the changes.

Please Ive tried the instructions you gave me, but it’s still not working. I’m not sure how to insert screen shots. If you look at my menu it consist of Home, About Me, My Story, and From Sadness to Strength. I don’t want the HOME link on my menu. This is not something I added, it came with the theme. The HOME link is not is not a part of my menu. I hope that helps. If not, tell me how to add a screen shot.

Yes, I have taken those steps and it’s still not working. I actually deleted the menu to start from scratch and my menu is still appearing at the top of my page.
