the very strange thing is: i can see the missing slideshow when i am logged into wordpress. so when i can see wp-admin and all that, the slider works fine…

thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.
This might be caused by the TablePress caching then. Could you maybe try adding an extra parameter to the Shortcode on that page, like
[table id=123 cache_table_output=false /]
to turn off that caching?
