I tried to log in today to update and received notice that the login page is not secure, After a google search looks like it could be a problem with a plug in.
I tried to get into the files through my host provider and I cannot access the host site at all.
After yet another google search it appears the host provider I have had for the past few years has been having some issues. Now I cannot access any files, or get in contact.
I dont want to risk logging into WP in an unsecure way to update or back up.

I do not know what steps to take to change hosts or get the information I need to get the site secure again. Any advice would be appreciated.

eceived notice that the login page is not secure,

If you’re using Chrome, it will report a page is insecure if it’s (1) not using HTTPS protocol and (2) there’s a password field. You should add an SSL certificate to your site so you can use the https protocol.

Thank you I will look into that.

And you can use another browser in the meantime, so you don’t get the message while you install SSL certificate. BTW your login process is no less secure now compared to how it used to be before Chrome started complaining. Just FYI. 🙂
