Prevent backups deletion

Hi, I own https://sunlog.ro/ and I use UpdraftPlus. Before anything else, sorry for my bad english.

Recently, one of the web hosting company from my country was hacked. Over 60% of it’s clients lost their websites, because the backup servers were also affected. Luckily, I am not one of their clients, but this situation made me wonder: how could UpdraftPlus protect me in case of a strong attack?

Let’s say a hacker gain access to both the server and my wordpress dashboard. In this case, he can delete all my cloud backups (right from the dashboard, as if he was me) before deleting my blog. If I purchase the premium version of UpdraftPlus and set up a lock password, the hacker can overwrite it by changing wp_config.php file.

So how can UpdraftPlus protect me in such scenario? Thank you.
