Are you using any caching that might have cached JS files? There were some changes in the JS for the toolbar between 1.5.6 and 1.5.10, and its possible that if your browser is referencing an old file then it wouldn’t work correctly. If you can share a URL, that would be potentially helpful.
I have one other report of somebody with this experience, but I don’t know what’s happening; it’s clearly infrequent, and I don’t currently have it reproduced.
Hi Joe,
Thanks for your message.
Indeed a different version of a11y.js file is used. I’ve compared the latest version of a11y.js and the one which is used now. The cache is activated, using WP Rocket plugin. But I’ve deleted the cache many time without success.
The URL is :

the first letter of Nicole

Try disabling Plugins Page Links to JS New Tab & Lazy Load. I don’t know for sure where those are coming from, but they *appear* to be overriding the WP Accessibility toolbar’s functions. I can’t be 100% sure, however.
I tried to disable those plugin but nothing changed. Finally I reverted to the latest working version of WP Accessibility I had (v1.5.6)
Strange. I’d love to know where the conflict lies. It could be anywhere, since there’s nothing being logged in the console, and I just can’t see it. If you ever learn anything, please let me know!
