Backup Database does not work

    Hi
    The database backup (including plugin Wordfence Security tables) seem to be UTF8 but binary cannot be imported by HeidiSQL. HeidiSQL Backup with binary in Hex works at Import.

    Hi @wordpress2075. I believe I was helping you with this issue in the support forum. The files are indeed in UTF8, but depending on the software you use to import, sometimes the special characters can become corrupted. We are planning on encoding all binary data as hex values for MySQL, and that should fix your issue.

    Thanks. We’re well aware of the issue and once again, will be changing the way database backups are done so that binary data is encoded as hexadecimal. That should solve your problem once released.
