    The 1.2.0 version update applied today doesn’t fix this issue.

    When more than one item is in the cart, shipping calculations are done based on each item shipping separately rather than combining them into one whole shipment.

    For instance, one item ships at about $12. Five of that same item should ship at roughly 17$. (Rates are based on UPS website calculator.)

    The plugin is calculating it at 5 x $12 or $60.

    What is the fix for this problem?

    I am also having the same issue.

    The issue the freight calculation is having is that it sets up each part as an individual shipment.

    So, using this same address, shipping 1 phone UPS Ground calculates at $8.18 which is basically correct.

    However, shipping 2 phones it calculates at double. $16.36 which is way off. Adding a 3rd phone makes it triple, $24.54. So the more product you add – the further off the freight amount becomes.

    Actual shipping charges for 1 phone would be $10.86 (our computer adds a handling charge which is not necessary on the website). 2 phones would be $11.70. So, 2 phones is barely more than 1 phone. Not double, then triple, then quadruple, etc

    @tlorenzen,

    This version of the plugin is designed for small business owners. The plugin treats each item as a separate package and it will show a sum price. That’s why you are getting some higher rate.

    We have a Plus version with more options for packaging such as Box Packing, Weight based Packing. So that multiple items can be shipped in a single package.
