Hi! The shelf is not public. Try to log out of Goodreads and open the link you posted here, and you’ll see. π Let me know if you get it working.
Thanks. I made something public but apparently not the right thing. I did find the setting and now the profile is visible when logged out.
Unfortunately I am still having the same issue with the plugin. I put in the key but there is also a “secret” on the goodreads key page. Is the required?
No, you only need the key, not the secret.
Are you using the correct profile ID in the widget settings? In your case, it should be 17079305. When I test that on my own blog, everything works (I see the book that’s on the shelf you linked to), so I expect there’s something else wrong with your widget configuration.
I checked the ID and it matches what you tested. I also tried installing the plugin on a different wordpress installation and got the same results as mentioned above. Obviously its something on my side but I’m at a loss to know what else to test.
Might be some other configuration. I assume that “max books” is not set to zero? Could you post a screenshot of all the widget settings, or simply list them here?
Hi again, just wanted to know if you still have this problem. If you do, could you give me the info I requested in the previous post so I can see if I can replicate it?
Hi, I just tried your settings and it works without a problem here. The two books currently on your shelf were displayed on my blog.
Try checking the “Reset cover URL cache upon next save” and then re-saving the widget settings.
If it still doesn’t work, then I’m at a loss – anyway, the problem lies not with the widget itself, since it works for me.
And again, make sure you’re using the most recent version of the widget, 1.4.1. π

Crazy. I check and its 1.4.1
Reseting the cover URL cache didn’t change anything. I tried creating a brand new WP installation on a subdomain an installed the plugin there. I get the same problem. So I guess it must be domain related. This makes no sense.
Any thoughts on domain settings that might cause an issue?
Thanks for the assistance in any case. I sent a donation your way.
Thanks, and I’m sorry I couldn’t help. Strange issue indeed.
