Making post *.html

    In Settings > Permalinks > Custom Structure: I have this
    /%postname%.html

    1) I added .html to the end 2) I omitted the ending /

    The result is this:

    http://learnfast.us/my-keyword.html

    I have two questions:

    1) Will this mess anything up in wordpress?
    2) Will this help SEO? I have notice many times that my http://www.mysite/mykeyword.html pages rank much higher than my simply http://www.mysite/mykeyword/
    So I got the idea to make my wordpress pages look like HTML pages. However is this real? Will google really see this as an HTML page or simply a page with “HTML” as part of the name?
