• I get the below message when visiting my blog OR trying to login and edit the blog.

    link is http://www.heroesnhunks.com/wordpress

I know its the wordpress problem because my adult content warning page at http://www.heroesnhunks.com is still up.

    Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@heroesnhunks.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I’ve already contacted myself – but i don’t know what the problem is. I hadn’t uploaded or changed anything since yesterday, when it was working fine.

.. have you actually looked in your error logs? what do they say?

what are the permissions of your files? 666 is wrong.

what are the permissions on your directories? 777 is wrong

Either of the above 2 can cause that error with some hosts.

i’m not sure what most of that means…

where do I find error logs. What am I looking for?

what permissions? where do I check them? what should they be set to?

Why would it have worked fine yesterday and spontaneously give me this error today when I haven’t touched the site?

OK I found the error log file and opened it. there wasn’t anything dated after Oct 15. And it was working fine yesterday the 25th.

I am far from technical. I’m a designer not a programmer. But I haven’t messed with any code.

    Anyone? Please? Help?

i dont want to argue, but those 2 statements are contradictory.

A very simple rule is applicable here:

nothing just changes. Just like balls dont end up in the air without being tossed.. know what I mean?

so either you did something or someone else did. might be your host.. have you contacted them?

what permissions? where do I check them? what should they be set to?

If youre just a designer, then maybe you ought to look into hiring someone that can manage the technical aspects of your site.

    just a thought.

I meant the site was working fine Saturday and I have not changed anything since then.

Oddly enough the problem just went away as of this morning and again I have changed nothing – leads me to believe there was some problem with wordpress.

No, that means that it was most likely a problem with your web host.
