You may have missed some files in the installation. Upload your files again and if you have access to your .htaccess file, try temporarily renaming it to see if it is causing problems.
I just installed 2.7 and am getting a Not Found error when trying to update my profile. My wp-admin folder’s contents match the folder that I downloaded.
The message was:
The requested URL /myURL/wp-admin/(EmptyReference!) was not found on this server. Doesn’t that mean that the update button hasn’t addressed the file properly?

Hey, everybody… I’m getting the same problem.
Any updates?
I’ve reinstalled WP a few times, but keep getting the same problem.
Alright, guys… I fixed it.
Don’t know why, but I decided to DELETE the wp-admin folder ONLY from my server, leaving everything else. Then I DOWNLOADED and UNZIPPED the entire WP package from WordPress.org. Then I UPLOADED ONLY the wp-admin folder from this fresh WP package back onto my server.
Now everything works.
Seems kinda like voodoo-tech, but after replacing the entire package three times with no sucess, replacing only the wp-admin folder worked the first try.
Best of luck.
