That is interesting – and it’s the second time I’ve heard it. I’m curious, does this happen every time a backup is run? And does it happen both on schedule and if you run a backup manually?
Thanks,
Kat
Since the backup is set to weekly, I won’t see what will happen on the scheduled backup until tonight.
I didn’t try a manual backup since the upgrade. After I see the result of the scheduled backup tonight, I might try a manual one.
To reiterate, before your recent incremental upgrade the backups worked normally. And we’re still getting good backups, etc. Just a little odd behavior…

Odd behavior continues.
I did a manual backup (bottom screenshot) this morning and though it didn’t do two identical backups like it did again last night, it still indicates there are four backups but only shows three.
Do you have caching set up on your account, either on the server side or on the site, that could be playing into this at all?
Thanks!
Kat
Not aware of any caching – that doesn’t mean my host doesn’t have some but I doubt they would have enabled it on my server without telling me.
I’m going to go ahead and close this specific topic out as resolved since we’re working on a new topic – but I’m looking into a couple things and will be back to update that one soon, okay?
Kat
The above comment was a mistake, as this was a seperate issue.
@forkmedia – Did you check and see if the FTP/File manager number of backups matched the ones shown on the site admin at all times? I’m wondering if it isn’t updating somewhere along the way when a backup has run.
Thanks,
Kat
