Admin & User’s Can’t Update Profiles

Having weird issues on editing other users profiles. I’ve notice that while logged into admin, I cannot update/edit certain users roles but have no issue updating new roles and members. I also found out that some users, same roles I could not edit, can’t edit their own profiles. One of the roles this is happening is the role “editor”.

When I go to a profile, click on edit, edit “title” field or any other field, click “update profile” the page refreshes but does not acknowledge the update. Even if I leave the page and return, the edits never went through.

I am using Ultimate Member version 1.3.83

Going to assume it’s related to a caching plugin? Maybe a way to tell in my functions file to ignore caching related to Ultimate Member?

Hi @sethhay,

Have you tried excluding the profile page from the cache? If this does not resolve the issue, can you please do a conflict test on the theme first and then plugins and see if it is caused by a conflict. You can click the link for directions on the plugin/theme conflict test:

I did try excluding the profile page in the cache settings and I deactivated the cache plugin. No go.

I looked at your old forum board and came across this: https://ultimatemember.com/forums/topic/cant-edit-my-profile/

Very similar to my issue but looks like it was never solved since May 2015.

If not a conflict, can you update to the latest pre-released version of UM and see if this will solve the issue?
