    Hello hoeczek,
Please specify the issue- you want to redirect the users(other than admin) to a URL when they try to login.
    Is it so??
    Thanks

Yes, exactly, after successful login user will be redirected to specified URL.
    Thanks

Any news on this answer? I need the same help. I want my users to go back to the landing page, not to the backend!

Thanks, Guys to remind this feature.

I just added this setting into plugin on “Login Form Setting” tab.

We are testing, will update within 2Hrs. Your feedback is appreciated on this.

    Thanks

Of course, would be happy to test! This feature would be great as I’ve had to use another plugin to sort this out, which isn’t ideal. I’ve mainly used your plugin so that users of my website who need to reset their password get a screen that’s branded in our logo, not wordpress. Also, wordpress seems to want to add another step to log back in after a new password has been set? It’s quite illogical.

Just in case I’m not clear. Here are the steps:

    1) Reset password link from email, sends you to the reset login page (rebranded thanks to your plugin)
    2) Enter a new password and select reset password button (great)
    3) Then a message comes up that new password has been accepted and user can login
    4) Then rather than login to the site (which is what I’d expect to happen) the screen asks again for the login details and are filled in with the old password, not the new one when you just select ‘Login’

So.. is it possible for your plugin to bypass step 4 and just login to the website at step 3, to a url of our choice?

If not, then can step 4) have the password field empty instead of being filled? And of course the login button redirect to a url of choice rather than the default backend login.

    Thanks

    Hi Kriss,

This is only possible if WordPress has any Action / Hook related to password reset which runs after password successfully reset.

An action is avaialbe password_reset but problem is, it runs before new password set into database.

(password_reset: Runs after the user submits a new password during password reset but before the new password is actually set. )

    Actually, What do you want?

    – Auto login after step 3 with new password
    Or
    – Redirect to user on any page

    Thanks

    Thanks for quick reply! πŸ™‚

    Hmmm, I see.
Well, I want both options. I would have no problem with step 4 if the new password was in the password field, but it doesn’t seem to be the case.

Ideally, I’d like to just get to step 3. So auto login as the user has just reset their password and to then redirect to the page I want them to go to. I don’t want users entering the site via the default wordpress backend.

    This is the website: http://www.livewelldirectory.uk

    Cheers,
    Krissie

I think only ” – Redirect to user on any page” possible only.

But before sure, we will try this possible with password_rest action or not.

    Thanks

    Ok cool, many thanks! πŸ™‚

Requested feature: Redirect User After Login

    Lived into plugin version 2.5.0.

And send your feedback is this working perfectly or not.

    Thanks

    We’re testing now. πŸ™‚

Looks like WordPress doesn’t recognise spaces in usernames? Is this right?

Share an example, how are you passing the password field?

    Like (if username weblizar123)

    1. web’ ‘lizar123 (space in bettween password)
    2. ‘ ‘weblizar123 (space in password before)
    3. weblizar123’ ‘ (space in password after)
