• When I attempt to restore my database from a backup file using pHpMyAdmin by copying the contents of the .sql file into the content editor (as suggested here: http://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/restore/) I get the following error message:

    Error

    SQL query:

    /*!40000 ALTER TABLE wp_posts DISABLE KEYS */;

  • Make sure it’s an empty database and then try importing it instead of copying and pasting.

    I made sure the database was empty and I’ve also tried importing but when I attempt to import the backup file I get another error which I’ll paste here after i attempt to import the file again and it (no doubt) fails. Thanks for responding back so quickly though.

    I still get the same error when I try to import the file although after I attempt to import the file or copy and paste I get the error message but then database which was empty now always has 5 items (wp_comments, wp_links, wp_posts, wp_postmeta, and wp_options).
