  • That function is part of The Events Calendar plugin. From your error is seems you need to reinstall/reactivate The Events Calendar plugin.

That still doesn’t excuse the Category Colors plugin from causing an error. It should degrade gracefully.

I have deactivated and reactivated them but it hasn’t worked. I am scared to deinstall in case I cannot install again (I am a IT novice). These plugins cost me a fortune.

I have version 4.6.2 catergory colours installed.

Please deactivate the Category Colors plugin.
Remove and reinstall the Events Calendar plugin.

Make sure the calendar works, then reactivate the Category Colors plugin. I’ll need the site URL to help any further.

When I click install – nothing happens, the pop up just disappears.

    At my wits end.

    Please help.

Unfortunately at this point I can’t see that you even have The Events Calendar plugin activated.

When I click install – nothing happens, the pop up just disappears.

I’m not sure I understand this is context.

You need to have The Events Calendar plugin installed and activated before you consider using the Category Colors plugin.

Maybe this is my panicky communication skills.
That is what I am saying.

The events claendar and all it’s attributes is not working and hasn’t been for nearly a week now.

If I deactivate colours, I get a limited front end with event calendar and all it’s attrubte not working, no calendar, no events pages no lists.

    Deactivated link.

    Front End with colours deactivated

If I activate colours I get absolutely nothing on the front end. The entire site is down.

    Front end with colours activated

It DOES say I need to update all three plugins
    3 plugins need updating

    BUT

When I click install on any of the plugins (I have tried doing it in different orders), the blue pop-up box diasappears. Nothing installs and site is still down.

the blue pop-up box I am talking about.

I am not technically minded, I am gutted that my site is down and cross that i have paid money for this.

Please please I know I am tricky, but I would appreciate ay ideas.

    Sam

I am at my wit’s end. Please help.

Can you share a screenshot of your plugins page showing all the Events Calendar related plugins that you have installed on your site?

Please update to The Events Calendar Category Colors v4.6.3

If you have paid for The Events Calendar PRO I suggest you open an issue on https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/forum/events/events-calendar-pro/ too. You should reference this issue too.

    Hi Andy,

You have certainly done something πŸ˜€
The site does not crash now when colours is activated.
The events calendar still isn’t showing though so I shall do as you suggest and ask there.

Thank you for your help so far.

    Submitted.

An in all my confusion and panic I hadn’t even realised that the WHOLE events side has DISAPPEARED from my site, 100s of events, tags, categorys, pictures etc etc.

I thought t was just a conflict / backend problem. Look like I might have lost everything. Let’s see what modern tribe say πŸ™

    Thank you.

    Thank you for your help.
    Situation resolved.
Host had to go into the back end for me and change file names which allowed me to reinstall.
    Thank you.
