• 2.6.2 – Can’t log in to the admin section in IE(getting the class WordPress loop with no error at all) but works in Firefox

    I’ve:
    – cleared cache and cookies, restarted browser, etc.
    – changed my ‘secret’ codes
    – changed the name of my plugins folder, removed my plugins folder, deactiveted all plugins
    – changed my admin password
    – double checked my site url and home in wp_options through both the admin interface (in FF) and the db
    – had someone else check from a different machine that had never gone to the site before (fail)
    – I am not running a firewall
    – Note that WP is definitely processing the login info correctly because if I give an incorrect username or pword it throws an error, however when this happens I also get this error:
ERROR: Cookies are blocked or not supported by your browser. You must enable cookies to use WordPress.
    – Cookies are, of course, enabled

By rights if I look at Temp Internet Files shouldn’t I see a cookie from my domain after attempting to log in? (Cuz I don’t). What would prevent WordPress from dropping a cookie?

    This is ridiculous………

EDIT: SOLVED – IE7 will not store cookies if the domain contains an underscore (_) so I had cafecafe_dev.xxxx.xxx and as soon as I changed it to cafecafedev I stopped having the problem.
