Woocommerce Product Category Widget orders by alpha only

I’m having troubles with the product category widget only listing the categories in alphabetical order, no matter how I order them in admin>Products>Categories. I should be able to custom order them, but it’s not working. Any suggestions? Right now I have prefixed each category with a number to force the correct order, but I’d rather not have the numbers.
