[Plugin: Register Plus 3.5.1] Email verification method not working

I actually have two issues, the biggest one first.

1) When I check “Prevent fake email address registrations.” it properly tells the user to go to their email and click the verification link. However, there is no verification link in the email. I have looked at the “Customize User Notification Email” to see if there is something I have to enter there, but I don’t see any instruction for this. So, how do I get the verification link into the email?

2) Simple Captcha does not work. The registration page will not recognize a properly entered captcha, and always say it is wrong. ReCaptcha does work.
