Homepage won’t update

    After editing few pages on the website, all other pages updated except homepage won’t.

    Tried to create a different homepage by rename old homepage and create a new one; also tried to activate a different theme, all other page would update with new theme, but homepage remains old page with old them.

    Problem still didn’t go away, homepage still remains the same. On edit homepage, click preview changes shows the correct information but just not actual website home page.

    I have also did some research, one post had same problem that updated as resolved, but I couldn’t find the solution below the post.

    Any ideas.

    Also, if you have any caching plugins, clear the cache(s).

    Hi, Steve:

    Thanks for getting back so quickly.

    I don’t have any caching plugins, all other pages update with no problem, only homepage just don’t update. I try to create a different menu, but that seems don’t update as well.

    I will check with hostgator to try to go back to the last back-up, hopefully that will work.

    Your theme may use a special template for the home page.

    Thanks, this theme I have used for many years without any problems. Only just noticing the problem today.

    I have try to activate a different theme, that didn’t work either
    Tried to restore the website to previous back-up, but it also didn’t work.

    All the page updated at the back-end. when you logged in as admin, it viewed as updated content by clicking preview changes, but go back to old content if you click the page link.

    Not sure what to do now. I didn’t install anything new since it works perfectly well few weeks ago.

    Ask your host if they’re doing any caching and, if so, how to clear it.

    I am settling with homepage stay the old page and everything else works perfectly fine. Will see if this problem will go away after a period of time.

    Thanks, after another forum post, confirmed It’s a server caching problem.
