Password Protect Page

    If I understand correctly. When I password a page or post, the cookie that is placed on the computer of the visitor is live for 10 days.
    How can I adjust that to force a login after the visitor leaves the page or post?
    Which PHP file is involved and what, exactly is the code I need to add or modify?
