shortcode in text field

    Hi there,

    I was wondering if it is all possible to have shortcode in a text field that can be executed. I see that if I use a WYSIWYG field then the shortcode will execute, but if it is stored in a text field it cannot be executed.

    Is there a way to have shortcode (that can be executed) from a simple text field instead of the bigger WYSIWYG editor.
