plus to add to the above, since i updated the latest version of wordpress no donations are added anymore. however in paypal i see them but not in Give in the back end.

Yes Give is current with the latest version of WordPress and beyond already. We always develop on the latest available development versions of WordPress to stay current because we know how important donations are for organizations like yours.

Please deactivate all plugins besides GIVE. If it works as expected then re-activate each plugin one at a time until you see the problem again. Then let us know which plugin caused the error and we’ll dig into it.
If after deactivating all other plugins it still does not work correctly, then tell us where we can get a copy of your theme to test.

Hi There,
I deactivated everything however no change.
So issues with Give are:
1. no fundraising bar anymore in the header
2. in our campaign, spay and neuter, the donation button is not working
3. in our campaign on a mobile the two campaigns are overlapping, responsive seem not to work
4. Donations done by paypal through the website do not seem to update Give anymore.
