    Hi,
I would like to let all the users who have the same role to receive an email when I update a specific page. I’ve been able to realize that your “Conditional Notifications Add-on” extension would let me do this. But I wasn’t able to find the right shortcode to send a custom email for each user. Where the user’s details are the recipient’s ones and not those of the user who updated the page.

    For example:

    Dear user_first_name user_last_name,
I would like to inform you that the [post_title] page was updated.

You can take a look at the following url.

    I hope you can help.

    Best regards,
    Liborio Fedele

    Hi @lfedele,
    Thanks for your message.

You can use global shortcodes to output the recipients name in your notifications. If you need help with shortcodes, please take a look at this help document.

Currently, the Conditional Notifications add-on would allow you to restrict notifications to posts with a particular category, tags, or term, but not specific posts.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,
    Jack

    Hi Jack,
thank you for your quick reply and for your kind help too.

I already took a look at that page before writing to you, but I was not able to locate what I was looking for, could you suggest the right shortcodes, please?

Will you update the extension supporting the specific post?

    Thank you for your time.

    Best regards,

    Hi @lfedele,
The shortcodes you’re looking for are:

    Global User First Name: [global_user_firstname]
    Global User Last Name: [global_user_lastname]
    Global User Email: [global_user_email]

I think extending the add-on to posts is on the roadmap already but not sure when it could be implemented yet.

    Thanks,
    Jack
