Help Understanding Category Tree Menu

    Hello,

    Very new to Word Press, but have it running, and it runs very well. The only thing I can not understand how to accomplish is a category menu tree. Can this happen with stock version or do I need a plugin? Currently I have the standard,

    Category:
    House Plans
    Foundation
    Breaking Ground
    Stem Walls
    Rat Slab

    Would like to have,

    Category: (closed Version)
    House Plans
    Foundation

    Category: (open Version)
    House Plans
    Foundation
    –Breaking Ground
    –Stem Walls
    –Rat Slab
