I’m trying to make this the URL of a page: /index.asp?pageId=8
but it’s not working. I end up getting /index.asp%3FpageId%3D8, instead.
    How can I solve this?
    Thanks a lot!

    Hi @goncalorcosta,

    Sorry for the late reply.

Yes, this is a problem with the plugin that you cannot use symbols in the permalink. As thousands of people are using it so i can’t change add this functionality as it may break someone website.

I have another plugin which contains the enhancement of this plugin. In that plugin, you can use the symbols and define other settings for the permalink. So, it’s my suggestion that if you want to use symbols in your permalink so, please use that plugin.

Here is the plugin URL: https://wordpress.org/plugins/permalinks-customizer/

Hope, This plugin would solve your all issue.

Let me know if you have any further query.

    Thanks,
    Sami

    Hi,

I have the same problem and I tried the other plugin (Permalinks Customizer). It works fine in the page area, but when I go to view the page, it just says “Ooops, this page can’t be found”. Did I miss something?

    Thanks

@tnocs it’s not going to work. I’ve talked with the developer and they can’t make it work.

Hi @tnocs, First, i would like to ask you that which symbols you want to use in your permalink?

If you are looking to use Question Mark in your Permalink So, I am sorry but that functionality doesn’t be provided as Question Mark are not a part of t he URL.

It is used in Pages for different actions like getting some data with data, moving content from here to there and so on.

Sorry again for not providing the ‘Question Mark’ functionality in Permalink.

    Regards,
    Sami

Yeah it was question marks and equal signs.
    No worries 🙂
