• I am trying to change the email on my WordPress.org Forums account/profile.
I typed in the new email but mistyped it, so it has now sent an email update link to someone else’s email address.

At the the top of the Profile, there is a message that reads:
“There is a pending email address change to [ redacted ]. Cancel” (this email address is not my new email – it is someone else’s)
When I select the ‘Cancel’ – it does not cancel.
If I enter the correct new email and Update, it does not cancel the message at the top nor does it change where the email is sent.

    Here’s the weird part…

My new email [ redacted ] gets the update message and link as below…

“Someone requested a change to the email address on your account.
Please click the following link to confirm this change:”

…but when I do (and I have received 11 of these so far – each time I have entered the correct new email), and I log in, the email has not changed and the message at the top still reads…
“There is a pending email address change to [ redacted ] Cancel”
    …and will not cancel.

As there is no way to contact WordPress about one’s account/profile, I am posting here for some much needed assistance.

This is completely frustrating as I want the current email for my current WordPress.org Forums account/profile.
The one I am trying to change the email on is a very old account which I used long ago and forgot about, and being as one cannot delete WordPress.org Forums accounts/profiles, I hadn’t realised this when I created the new WordPress.org Forums account/profile.

I need the email on this old account to be used on my new account as this is my primary email.
