Cache on Front End

Is there a way to add a button on the front end for caching prior to Running a filter/export? I had daily caching but would give FATAL ERROR message for 15 minutes around noon when cache running. If I turn auto caching off, I’d like client to be able to select to Update, then run report soon thereafter when ready.
