Nesting external subsitemap

    I have a site with a WordPress blog in a subdirectory.
    The number of pages outside the blog is too big to comfortably enter all pages as external URLs in the settings.
    Can I enter the URL of a subsitemap in valid xml format and expect the combination to work?
