    you mean under the public_html folder? won’t that cause problems?

    no, it won’t cause problems. there are many threads on this topic on the forum if you have questions.

    for a start =

    public_html > all your wordpress files that were in your wordpress folder/installation

    I just did and then my site stopped working…

    I couldn’t find similar threads.

    Moving_WordPress is one of the more commonly suggested resources if you search for “moving wordpress”. Give it a look 🙂

    In the meantime: You can, of course, un-break your site by moving it back to where it was.

    I moved all the folders inside wordpress but not the files…

    I’ve pondered that sentence for a day now. I’m afraid I have to admit I haven’t the foggiest as to what you could possibly mean by it.
