Homepage layout customization. (Newb alert)

I never saw a theme like that, but it doesn’t seem impossible. Best look around for a theme that comes somewhere in the direction you are want and then start editing yourself. You will mainly be working in the stylesheet (style.css). Perhaps you can just make a page template like that and make your blog dynamical and accessible via a link or something.
