No add new plugin button

Hi,
I only have a very basic understanding of wordpress.org (can do the basics but when something goes wrong I am stuck)
I have updated my blog to 4.7 and now some of my plugins aren’t working as they aren’t supported I found the new ones I would like to use but I do not have an add new plug in button on my blog. I know I used to have one as I have a few plugins running and I am the only administrator.
Could someone give me some suggestions as to what I should do to get this button back so I can add new plugins without having to go through my cpanel as I’m even less knowledgeable about that.
